We encourage a full and active lifestyle wherever possible, but above all each resident is an individual and is encouraged to exercise choice in all aspects of their care. We want residents to feel very much at home, with rules and regulations kept to a minimum.

Help and companionship is always on hand, and the friendly and homely atmosphere we have created at Withens ensures that everyone continues their daily life with personal privacy and dignity, as well as the highest standard of care.

It is based on the establishment of a strong relationship between the residents and staff, and upon the creation of a non-institutional regime, that enables the residents to lead a fulfilled life and to achieve the highest potential that their condition permits - physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Personal Care
Withens is managed by a Home Manager experienced in the care of elderly people, with Registered Nurses and Care Assistants providing 24-hour support in a professional and caring way.

Each resident's routine treatment is carried out by qualified nursing staff, and in accordance with each individual's care plan, which is regularly reviewed. In addition we are also happy to arrange appointments as necessary with Dentists, Opticians and Chiropodists.

Types of Stay
At Withens, we can offer care to suit individual needs: long term care for those who need daily nursing perhaps due to age or an ongoing medical condition; respite care for those carers who need a much deserved break.
