We encourage a full and active lifestyle wherever possible, but above all each resident is an individual and is encouraged to exercise choice in all aspects of their care. We want residents to feel very much at home, with rules and regulations kept to a minimum.

Help and companionship is always on hand and the friendly and homely atmosphere we have created at Maidstone ensures that everyone continues their daily life with personal privacy and dignity, as well as the highest standard of care.

It is based on the establishment of a strong relationship between the residents and staff, and upon the creation of a a non-institutional regime, that enables the residents to lead a fulfiled life and to achieve the highest potential that their condition permits - physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Activities
Our activities programme includes a varied and entertaining social calendar taking trips to the local shops, church, bingo, parks, clubs and libraries and such amenities are also brought into the home.

Personal Care
The day to day running of Maidstone is the responsibility of our highly experienced matron who is duly assisted by a specialist team of dedicated registered mental nurses and care assistants, all selected for the excellence of their clinical and therapeutic skills.

Each resident’s routine treatment is carried out by either qualified nursing staff or our Doctor, and in accordance with each individual’s care plan, which is regularly reviewed. In addition we are also happy to arrange appointments as necessary with Dentists, Opticians and Chiropodists.
